Yearly Competitions

The following competitions are run annually:

  1. Sub Junior Champion Angler

  2. Junior Champion Angler

  3. Lady Champion Angler

  4. Open Champion Angler: Deep-Sea

  5. Open Champion Angler: Estuary

  6. Open Champion Angler: Beach Fishing

  7. Open Champion Angler: Freshwater

  8. Champion of Champions

  9. Yearly Competition

Competition 1: Sub Junior Champion Angler:

A competition open to females and males under the age of ten (10) years at the beginning of the Competition year 1st July.

This competition provides for a combined point score incorporating all categories and competitions during the year.

Competition 2: Junior Champion Angler:

A competition open to females and males from the age of ten (10) years but under the age of sixteen (16) at the beginning of the Competition year 1st July.

The award will be won by the angler with the highest aggregate point score calculated from a maximum of eight programmed outings.

Competition 3: Lady Champion Angler

A competition open to females aged 16 years and over at the beginning of the Competition year 1st July.

The award will be won by the angler with the highest aggregate point score calculated from a maximum of eight programmed outings.

Competition 4: Open Champion Angler: Deep-Sea

A competition open to all anglers

This award will be won by the angler with the highest aggregate point score calculated from a maximum of eight programmed deep-sea outings.

Competition 5: Open Champion Angler: Estuary

A competition open to all anglers.

This award will be won by the angler with the highest aggregate point score calculated from a maximum of eight programmed estuary outings.

Competition 6: Open Champion Angler. Beach

A competition open to all anglers.

This award will be won by the angler with the highest aggregate point score calculated from a maximum of eight programmed beach outings.

Competition 7: Open Champion Angler. Freshwater

A Competition open to all anglers.

This award will be won by the angler with the highest aggregate point score calculated from a maximum of eight programmed freshwater outings.

Competition 8: Champion of Champions

A Competition open to all anglers. The Champion of Champion will be determined from the highest aggregate point’s score from the following events,

  • Comp 4 Open Champion Angler: Deep Sea

  • Comp 5 Open Champion Angler: Estuary

  • Comp 6 Open Champion Angler: Beach

  • Comp 7 Open Champion Angler: Freshwater

Scoring is based on:
1st = 20 points
2nd = 19 points
& progressively down to 20th place = 1 point

Competition 99: Yearly Competition

A competition open to all anglers.

Points are awarded for fishing results achieved at any time outside of Club programmed events in Category A (NSW). The trophy will be awarded to the angler with the highest aggregate point score calculated from a maximum of eight outings (defined as a 24 hour period).
