On Saturday 7th September, our club enjoyed a beautiful day out for the start of Spring.
Having 23 of us attending was fantastic to see, spread right along the south end of Killcare Beach.
Out of season, this time of year is not ideal for beach fish however the weather was perfect. So it was very quiet in terms of fish but some of us managed to catch Flathead, Bream, Whiting, Dart and a couple of big Salmon.
Having the surf club cafe there was good for morning tea. We had a beaut barbie to wrap at lunchtime. Big thanks to Mike Markich for bringing his Weber and cooking up a storm.
It was great to see Margaret Abdilla outfish her husband again And Josephine Tanti by her side. Chris Connollly came to share the day with Tom, along with friends Tony & Tina.
Kurt Forrester with his young son James in matching fishing shirts was very cute.
Cameron Markich bought his mate Dylan with him, and they enjoyed being in the sunshine.
I must say, seeing Chris Connolly walking from one end of the beach to the other to share her home-made Anzac biscuits with everyone was so nice of her and reinforces just how special the Sea Bees community is.
Iām sure we will be keen to do this again in summer when the beach fish will be there in big numbers.
Cheers, Mick.
